UFA activities for young people are provided through UFA trained adults. Adults may be teachers wishing to develop their teaching and learning, support staff in schools or adults who support young people in different settings such as youth workers, outdoor centre, museum and library staff and of course parents and carers. We can train adults to deliver specific programmes where we use the UFA's model of good learning to underpin the activity, for example, training to run summer challenges. We can also provide a training programme that develops a depth of understanding about good learning and a range of activities for young people to participate in; we call this training the 'Fellowship programme' . The UFA explores imaginative approaches to training to enable adults to transform their own learning practices.
Training can be run at your venue or check out our events list to book places on nationally run courses. We can also provide resources to support your activities, find out more on our resources page.

The UFA has a range of activities for parents to support their young people, whether it is through contributing to a school's Super Learning Day, running after school or Saturday activities like Dads & Lads clubs or understanding more about helping your child to learn.
There are a wide range of adults other than teachers who support young people with learning both inside and outside of the school day. UFA training offers all adults the opportunity of becoming involved and understand more about how good learning can be created.
The UFA approach is about creating capacity in others to deliver our learning approaches and activities. Training the trainer programmes provide the platform for adults to become UFA trainers in their local area, consortium or school.
The Fellowship programme underpins the development of UFA activities and teaching and learning. The programme looks at a series of learning processes and how they can be practically implemented to raise standards and student achievement.
If you are looking to increase the breadth of adults delivering out of school activities including learning mentors, teaching assistants and a wide range of other adults in the community from artists to local experts, then the Extended Learning course may be just what you need.
