National Manager, Jan Polack, worked with Lead Practitioner Hawabibi Seedat at Small Heath School in Birmingham to train their first cohort of Lead Learners
The students were excellent, very enthusiastic and full of great ideas for their clubs. They were all from Year 12 and aim to deliver lunchtime and after school clubs to Year 7 students.
The training finished with presentations to an invited audience of senior staff from the school, the Head and Deputy Head from a Coventry school and UFA Chief Executive, Linda Gregory. This was fairly nerve-wracking but the students kept their cool and impressed us all with their plans for their activities.
We look forward to hearing how the clubs are going as the year progresses.
