Fellows Award

The Fellowship programme underpins the development of UFA activities and teaching and learning. The programme covers learning processes based around educational theories and how they can be practically implemented to raise standards and student achievement. If a school has this award it means it has completed a programme of Fellowship training and has UFA Fellows in the school.

Peer Tutors Award

UFA Peer Tutors are young people who help other young people to learn. Peer Tutors are trained and supported to take on this role and form an essential part of the learning team. The UFA can provide ideas, training and resources to start a Peer Tutor programme. We can deliver training courses for your young people and run train the trainer programmes for adults. If a school has this award it means it has completed a programme of Peer Tutor training and has UFA Peer Tutors in the school.

Parents and Carers Award

The UFA provides opportunities for parents and carers to support their young people, whether it is through contributing to a school's Super Learning Day, running after school or Saturday activities like 'Dads & Lads clubs' or understanding more about helping your child to learn at home. The UFA can provide resources and training for parents and carers or train your staff to deliver the UFA 'Helping my child to learn' programme. If a school has this award it means it has completed a programme of Parents and Carers training and has them running activity in the school.

Student Leaders Award

UFA activities provide young people with opportunities that develop their skills and capacity to support others with their learning, to design, run and support learning activities and to develop and exercise leadership in their schools and communities. We offer a number of programme to develop this including Students of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow and Leading and Learning in Teams. If a school has this award it means it has completed a programme of student leadership and has student leaders running activity in the school.

Club Challenge SLD Award

UFA activities ranging from Summer Challenges and out of school clubs to Super Learning Days, build on everything we have learnt about transformational learning and the belief in the potential for young people to succeed. The UFA can help within your school timetable or as part of extended activity in community venues, libraries and museums - or anywhere that learning can take place. If a school has this award it means it has completed a programme of UFA activity and has UFA activity running in the school.

YoUFA Club

YoUFA Clubs are clubs run by UFA trained young people for young people, with adults only there to provide support. Usually a young person running a UFA club is referred to as a Lead Learner.
